This paper explores energy cooperation between Poland and Norway following the launch of the 2016 Northern Gate project. More specifically, the authors focus on 1) the rationale behind the project, which aims to link the Polish gas market with gas deposits on the Norwegian Continental Shelf, 2) what Norway can do to help diversify the EU’s energy supplies; 3) what Poland should do to diversify its own energy security, and more.
