Well, what are the “prospects and challenges” of Lithuania’s new government, which is headed by the center-right Union of Farmers and Greens (LVŽS)? According to this bulletin, the post-October 2016 LVŽS-LSDP (Social Democratic Party) coalition government may be unable to implement the ambitious social policy plans that were a central component of the LVŽS’ campaign. Meanwhile, Russia’s aggressive regional foreign policy will most likely push the new government to implement NATO’s Warsaw Summit provisions.
