The four essays in this text contemplate the future direction of the US-Japan Alliance and how it can reinforce Asian stability and security. The texts’ topics specifically focus on 1) developing a more robust trilateral economic-security relationship between the US, Japan, and Taiwan; 2) encouraging greater trilateral cooperation in space; 3) creating a Partnership Coordination Mechanism and a Public Diplomacy Coordination Mechanism to facilitate multilateral partnerships in Asia; and 4) establishing coalitions of the willing to address security risks in the maritime commons.
