This article examines the performance of Myanmar’s ruling National League for Democracy (NLD) party since it gained power in the country’s November 2015 elections. In particular, the author highlights how major questions remain about NLD government’s economic policies, position on ethnic and religious issues, and on how it plans to encourage the military’s withdrawal from politics.
