This paper highlights the initial implications of the UK’s decision to leave the EU, which could involve the country’s political fragmentation, economic decline and vulnerability to an EU backlash. The text’s authors also examine the international dimensions of Brexit, including the potential damage it could inflict on 1) the integrity of the EU; 2) the trilateral relationship between the EU, US, and UK; and 3) Turkey's greater integration with Europe. Finally, the authors briefly discuss the exit mechanism and subsequent negotiations which are likely to take place, and the implications of Brexit for Israel.
