This report presents a comprehensive progress report on Sustainable Development Goal 16 (SDG16), which aims to promote peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development, provide access to justice for all and build effective, accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels. The report’s three sections specifically provide 1) background on the importance of SDG16 and its potential to promote positive peace; 2) summaries of the global performance on each of the goal's 12 targets; and 3) progress reports on the performance of 163 countries with regard to the implementation SDG16 targets.
