This paper reviews the global socio-political situation at the beginning of 2017 and outlines some of the likely developments that will shape the world in the near future. The text’s author unsurprisingly argues that we now live in a high-tech, amoral and polluted world, and that we’ve created an international order that’s marred by consumerism and rightist political agendas.
