Since the US and Taiwan are critical geostrategic preoccupations of China, it shouldn’t surprise anyone that Beijing has also treated them as prime cyber-attack and espionage targets. So how should Washington and Taipei respond? The authors of this report believe that it’s time for the US and Taiwanese governments to stop thinking about cyber security as an issue they can manage with ad hoc policy tweaks. In reality, it’s a domain of conflict that requires continuous attention and strategic analysis.
