This paper explores the domestic, regional, and global circumstances that encouraged Turkey and Israel to normalize their relations once again, although only after a protracted period of time (2013-2016). Two spurs toward reconciliation were the departure of Turkish Prime Minister Davutoglu and the relative isolation of both Israel and Turkey in their region.
