This JEMIE issue features three articles on 1) the factors that enabled the Turkic speaking Gagauz ethnic group to negotiate a unique autonomous status in Moldova; 2) discussion on the recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders within Australia’s constitution, particularly regarding the lessons it can draw from advisory bodies concerning minorities in Finland, Germany, South Africa and Singapore, and 3) the impact of power-sharing arrangements on inter-ethnic relations and state legitimacy, with a focus on the case of Kosovo.
