This bulletin analyzes the interests the Baltic States have in the post-Brexit negotiating process, primarily because of the key strategic partnerships they have with the UK on security and economic matters. (The strength of the relationships is partially due to the sizeable number of Baltic immigrants who live in the UK and the remittances they send back home.) Given the strong ties that exist, the text’s author expects the Baltic States to exploit EU institutional and personnel changes in order to increase their bargaining power and ensure economic policies that are favorable to them.
