Following President Hassan Rouhani’s reelection in Iran’s 2017 national elections, this paper examines Tehran’s efforts to overcome its economic isolation and attract Western investment. The author also assesses 1) potential investment opportunities in Iran; 2) regulatory obstacles that could prevent investment in the country’s energy sector; and 3) how Polish firms may benefit from Iran’s return to the global oil market as well as its possible future liquid national gas (LNG) exports.
