The nine essays in this text map out the current geostrategic realities of the EU’s eastern neighborhood. The varying topics focus on 1) Russia’s and Turkey’s policies in the region; 2) Belarus’ deepening dependence on Moscow; 3) the ideational battles that exist in the neighborhood; 4) China’s strategic concerns over the Ukraine crisis; 5) the OSCE’s role in the region; 6) the failures of the Obama administration’s “leading from behind” strategy, etc.
