This JEMIE issue focuses on the financing on organizations that represent national minorities. The articles specifically focus on 1) the general practices of offering financial support to minority organizations; 2) the relationship between minority empowerment and the funding available to minority organizations, as illustrated by Schleswig-Holstein; 3) the institutional “novelties and challenges” inherent in Turkey’s policy toward its kin minorities and ethnic nationalist kin program in the Balkans; and 4) transnational perspectives on funding kin minorities abroad, with a specific focus on Hungary.
