This yearbook analyzes the peace processes and negotiations that took place around the world during 2017. More specifically, it examines the development and dynamics of peace talks worldwide to provide a comprehensive overview of peace processes, identify trends and comparatively analyze various negotiation scenarios around the globe. The text also 1) analyzes the evolution of peace processes from a gender perspective; 2) looks at the different formulas of dialogue and negotiation that aim to reverse the dynamics of violence and channel conflicts through political means in many contexts; and 3) attempts to highlight, enhance and promote political, diplomatic and social efforts aimed at transforming conflicts and their root causes through peaceful methods.
