This brief explores the options the Ethiopian government and its partners have to advance human development and internal economic growth between now and 2030. Improving agricultural yields will be critically important, as will weaning the government off donor funding and expanding its capacity to collect and distribute revenues efficiently. This latter capacity, incidentally, includes distributing services more broadly across ethnic groups, genders and regions.
