The articles in this edition of Conflict Trends look at 1) an adaptive approach for coping with complexity in conflict resolution and peacebuilding; 2) the African Solidarity Initiative (ASI), which aims to build the institutional capacity of states emerging from conflict, and its role in the African Union’s post-conflict reconstruction and development policy; 3) the role social media can play in promoting dialogue as well as inciting conflict and violence; 4) South Africa’s possible withdrawal from the International Criminal Court; 5) lessons learned from the fight against Boko Haram; and 6) the effectiveness of power-sharing governments in Zimbabwe and Lesotho.
