This report assesses the humanitarian situation in Yemen, including the impact of the country’s conflicts on its healthcare system, economy and infrastructure as well as the resulting population movements. The author also examines current humanitarian actors and responses in Yemen and neighboring countries, and concludes by exploring several challenges and opportunities for humanitarian actors in the country. In particular, these relate to 1) how to enhance respect for humanitarian norms and principles; 2) how to strengthen the humanitarian response; and 3) the need to look beyond immediate humanitarian needs.
