Discussion with GCSP

On May 9th 2017, authors of the CSS Strategic Trends 2017 publication presented central arguments of their contributions at an event organized by the CSS’ partner institute the Geneva Centre for Security Policy (GCSP). The two main areas of focus included the development of US policy under President Trump and the future of European security post-Brexit. According to the authors, it is necessary for Europe to take security - to the degree that the US is drawing back from Europe - into its own hands. This is why an intensified cooperation in the London-Paris-Berlin triangle is essential, despite Brexit.
