While national minorities have been excluded from the democratic processes for centuries, new research shows that partially as a result of the convergence of democratization and integration policies, national minorities are increasingly able to participate in the democratic process. In short, national minority narratives exhibiting moral commitments are increasingly articulated in European integration discourses.
