This paper deals with the issue of standardization and measurement of green growth, a buzzword describing an alternative to the present carbon-based production pattern. Given the lack of a standardized way of measuring green growth, the author argues that rather than standardization frameworks, a comprehensive definition as well as situation-specific, flexible key indicators for measurement are necessary for any definition of such growth.
