This paper analyzes the relationship between the labor market, social insurance and coverage of the labor force and the population in Latin America. The author examines several factors that impact the labor market, such as the increasing flexibilization of work, and describes their impact on workers' social benefits. He also suggests ways to improve the situation in Latin American states.
