This report reviews results-oriented public budgeting and management in Bolivia. The author explores the practice of results-oriented budgeting in Bolivia to establish how far performance budgeting and management are practiced in public expenditure programs in a country with Poverty Reduction Strategy Papers. The paper highlights methods employed, the circumstances that favored their adoption, the achievements made in making public programs more efficient and effective, and the obstacles and limitations that Bolivia has encountered.
