This publication argues that by strengthening the relationship between information technology and the brain, the US military can enhance its ability to outsmart and outfight adversaries. The authors discuss the information revolution and its role in defense strategies, outlining the need for and nature of intersections between military forces and decision-making. They discuss networked defense forces and use the examples of China and Al-Qaida to highlight security/strategic forces that are already leveraging networks.
