This paper presents cross-national and sub-group comparisons of young adults with a focus on reproductive health issues. The countries compared are Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines and Taiwan. The main factors examined are patterns of marital union timing and the timing of sexual onset both within and between countries. The authors take into consideration urban and rural youth education for the comparison of these Asian countries.
