This paper examines drinking, smoking and drug use as well as the pattern of repeated risk-taking among Filipino adolescents and youths. It then examines the relationship between young people’s drinking and smoking behavior on the one hand and parents’ attitude towards drinking and smoking on the other. Finally, it examines the age patterns at initiation using the life table method.
