This paper identifies patterns of youth behavior with regard to drinking, smoking and use of drugs among Thai youth. It analyzes the link between family background and individual characteristics, on the one hand, and substance use, on the other. This study also examines a combination of family and individual factors in connection to youth engagement in drinking, smoking and drug use.
