This paper examines the multinational corporations-government nexus. It derives policy implications to the catch-up process of developing host countries and explores international business in comparison with mainstream theory. The paper reviews the 'mechanisms' of endogenous growth introduced in the mainstream economics and then identifies relevant work in the international business field.
