This publication describes the uneasy relations between the March 14th-led government and the Hizbollah-led opposition in Lebanese politics. It analyzes Hezbollah's 'long game' and the passivity of the Lebanese Armed Forces during the violent clashes of May 2008. The author also discusses the role of institutions in Lebanese political developments.
