Publication

This paper provides important insights about a new project of the UN Institute for Disarmament Research (UNIDIR), the importance of arms trade and disarmament at global level, and peace and security. It encourages dialogue among Conference on Disarmament (CD) members. Further, it compares different arms treaties to reflect on how human security thinking could benefit disarmament policymaking generally and suggests possible next steps toward common disarmament and arms control objectives.
