This paper reviews the state of young adult reproductive health (YARH) surveys in Asia. It establishes that extensive YARH surveys are rare but important events and outlines structure and methodology issues important for such surveys. The author provides a few samples of strategically useful knowledge gained through the surveys. He suggests that large-scale surveys need to be equipped with sufficient resources to gain relevant data for local programs.
