This report analyzes the economic situation in Moldova and its relations with the EU. It examines trends in Moldova since economic reforms began in the 1990s, analyzing the effects of proposed and implemented macroeconomic policies. The authors discuss some of the structural changes that occurred since 2001 and provide a background of EU-Moldova relations. They assess the stages of fulfillment of the economic provisions of the EU-Moldova Action Plan, describe prospects for EU-Moldova economic relations and discuss attitudes toward the integration with the EU and its economic principles from Moldovan economic actors.
