This report explores whether non-tariff barriers impede Ukrainian exports to the EU and to what extent. The authors provide an overview of Ukraine trade policy focusing on its economic relations with the EU. They describe the evolution of bilateral trade, discuss survey results and review the exposure of central and eastern European country exports to the EU’s non-tariff barriers. They describe how countries change trade-related legislation toward the EU laws in order to tackle these barriers and provide policy recommendations.
