This paper looks at ownership changes in enterprises and privatized companies owned by the Polish National Investment Fund (NIF). The authors analyze the companies in the NIFs' portfolios and the types of investors they were sold to. They focus on the issue of changes in ownership of funds as well as corporate governance in the funds. The paper compares the economic performance of NIF portfolio companies with other groups of companies in the Polish economy.
