This reports contains the results of comparative research in Poland, Slovenia and the Czech Republic from 1999–2001. The authors investigate the evolution of ownership structure in firms privatized through 'wholesale schemes' – voucher privatization in the Czech Republic and the National Investment Fund program in Poland for example – using original databases. They answer questions concerning the factors influencing this evolution and analyze the connections between property rights reallocation, ownership concentration and the corporate governance of companies.
