Publication

This publication examines issues surrounding small arms and light weapons (SALW) in West Africa. The various articles provide an assessment of the political and security situation, and the impacts upon the population of the region. The authors address topics such as small arms control, stability and the roles of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) and civil society. It also includes a copy of the full text of the ECOWAS Convention on Small Arms and Light Weapons, Their Ammunition and Other Related Materials.
