This publication assesses bilateral trade relations between India and Pakistan, highlighting major issues and areas for improvement. The author examines the nature and structure of both economies, and analyzes bilateral trade with reference to the South Asia Free Trade Agreement (SAFTA). After outlining challenges to trade development, the author provides various policy recommendations for improving trade relations.
