This publication examines the Indo-Pakistani conflict over the Siachen glacier region from an Indian perspective. The author discusses the strategic significance of the Siachen glacier region before assessing the cost of the conflict in terms of casualties and economics. The publication concludes with policy recommendations for overcoming the impasse.
