While the EU needs to face all neighbors and has therefore to deal with at least four dimensions of neighbor-policy, this paper takes the particular "Finnish perspective" and analyses the changes of the "Northern Dimension" coming along with the eastern enlargement of the EU as Finland is the initiator of the "Nothern Dimension". The author sees the aim for Finland to make sure that the "Northern Dimension" doesn't get marginalized by the enlargement, which also means, that new member states should be involved in the development of the "Northern Dimension" initiative.
