This book explores aspects of arms control, the Arab-Israeli peace process and regional security in the Middle East. It reviews the activities of the Arms Control and Regional Security (ACRS) working group, assesses trends in arms sales and arms control, and discusses the impact of globalization and economic restructuring, political restructuring and the peace process on Jordan, Israel and Palestine. The book also considers the scope of missile proliferation in the region and investigates the various UN disarmament and verification regimes for weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.
