On January 6, the Awami League government celebrated one year in office. While addressing to the nation, Sheikh Hasina said "We want to free the country of corruption, misrule, illiteracy and poverty by 2021". It’s a long way to go, but one year is too short a time to judge the government and make an assessment of its performance.
