Ahead of President Obama’s December 2010 review of the US war effort in Afghanistan, a new Task Force report on US Strategy for Pakistan and Afghanistan finds that the current approach to the region is at a critical point. It notes that nine years into the Afghan war, the outcome of the struggles in the region are still uncertain and the stakes are high.
