In this newsletter the author discusses the outcomes of the 16th summit of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) in Hanoi in 2010. The author argues that, unlike Europe, the message coming out of the summit was that ASEAN is still made up of 10 individual countries with their own problems and independent solutions.
