In this analysis the author argues that despite the fact that the Arab Spring has weakened Al-Qaida, the terrorist organization knows how to turn a crisis into an opportunity. In the author's view, Al-Qaida will presumably employ a strategy where their regional affiliates gain ground by focusing their efforts on consolidating local gains.
