This Independent Task Force examines the US-Brazil relationship in light of the considerable developments of the past ten years. It comes at a time when Brazil’s new administration, led by President Dilma Rousseff, has had a few months to settle in and chart a course for the country for the next several years. The Task Force recommends that this period be seen as an opportunity for Brazil and the United States to deepen their partnership through expanded governmental and economic ties.
