This paper presents lessons learned from programs implemented in states recovering from armed conflicts, including Afghanistan, East Timor and Kosovo. A review of judicial training programs and prosecutorial reform activities in these countries offers guidance for the international community’s intervention in the legal and judicial sector of post-conflict societies. In particular, it identifies the methodological issues implicated in this type of training, the scope of IDLO training activities, country findings, and future projects and objectives.
