This legal brief looks at the treatment of trade and investment under the International Climate Change Regime. It then analyzes the developments in the negotiations at the COP-16/CMP-6 held in Cancun in November/December 2010, and their impact. The author concludes that the Parties have succeeded in restoring investor confidence in the climate change regime. He adds, however, that a lot more needs to be done in the run-up to Durban in December 2011.
