In this paper the authors argue that a new image of Poland has emerged over the last couple of years, of a politically and economically stable country and a predictable EU player. This image has been strengthened further thanks to a smoothly-run EU presidency. Can this image enhance Poland’s position within the EU and eventually bring a permanent change of its status on the European scene?
