This brief discusses climate change vulnerability in Africa with a specific focus on security. It assesses the potential for climate change to put large numbers of people at risk of death from exposure to climate-related hazards. The brief creates geospatial representations of sub-national vulnerability in Africa, using indicators of climate hazard exposure, population density, household and community resilience, and governance and political violence.
