This paper is a report from the conference, 'The legacy of war time rape: mapping key concepts and issues'. The conference draws upon contacts from different networks of researchers and practitioners who for many years have worked on rape, war, traumatisation, children born of war, perpetrators, reconciliation, etc. The conference addressed these issues from an interdisciplinary perspective, and the main focus of the report is the consequences of rape in wars and conflicts where it has been used as a military strategy by government or paramilitary groups.
